What is a portable welding machine?
Working principle
AC welding machine: It is a high-power transformer. It uses the principle of inductance to reduce the voltage and increase the current of ordinary AC through the transformer. It uses the high-temperature arc generated when the positive and negative poles are short-circuited in an instant to melt the solder on the welding rod and the iron material to be welded, so as to achieve the purpose of combining them.
DC welding machine: The current and voltage are stepped down by the three-phase main transformer, rectified by the thyristor element, and the output current is controlled by changing the phase of the thyristor trigger angle. The current signal is taken from the shunt at the DC output end of the rectifier as the current negative feedback signal. As the DC output current increases, the negative feedback also increases, the thyristor conduction angle decreases, and the output current and voltage decrease, thereby obtaining the descending external characteristics, making the welding process more stable.

Inverter portable electric welding machine: Using inverter technology, the industrial frequency AC is rectified and filtered into DC, and then the DC is converted into medium frequency AC through power devices such as IGBT, and then converted into DC output again after transformation, rectification and filtering. It has the advantages of small size, light weight, high efficiency and good welding performance. It is a more common type of portable welding machine on the market.
Transformer-type portable welding machine: The input high voltage is converted into a low voltage suitable for welding through a transformer. It has a relatively simple structure, high reliability and relatively low price, but it is large in size and weight and relatively low in efficiency.
